Firstly, we would like to extend our sincere gratitude to our editorial board members, guest editors, reviewers, authors and readers.
JOMA was launched in March 2022 with the aim of publishing articles in front-line issues and sharing the current situation of anesthesia applied in oral and maxillofacial surgery, head and neck surgery, and otorhinolaryngologic surgery etc.

Here we would like to briefly present you JOMA’s 2022 Annual Report.
- JOMA has published 4 issues in 2022 with a total of 39 articles from various countries.
- JOMA now has 30 members from 11 countries including 2 Honorary Editors-in-Chief, 1 Editor-in-Chief, 1 Executive Editor-in-Chief and 26 Editorial Board Members.
- According to the record of Google Analytics, there are 27,268 views and 3937 users come from diverse countries, with 37% of them from the USA, 27% of them from China and etc.
- There are 4 ongoing special series edited by distinguished experts in the field.
- There are 4 interviews with outstanding authors in 2022.
- The column of JOMA Chinese Edition was launched to raise awareness of medical advances among clinicians through translated content, enhancing the links between Chinese scientists and the international medical community.
