We are pleased to announce that the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Anesthesi (JOMA) has attained its first impact factor for the 2025 citation year: 0.9.

Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Anesthesia 2025 CiteScore Released: 0.7

We are pleased to announce that the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Anesthesia (JOMA) has achieved its 2025 CiteScore: 0.7. JOMA ranks as follows across various categories: 430 out of 597 in Surgery, 92 out of 123 in Otorhinolaryngology, and 112 out of 147 in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. This milestone underscores our ongoing commitment to publishing impactful research in the field.

JOMA 2025 Annual Report

We are pleased to share with you the 2025 annual report of Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Anesthesia (JOMA). In 2025, with the joint effort and support of all contributors, JOMA made great progress with the publication of 28 articles, and increased website pageviews and visitors. AME and Wolters Kluwer aim to expand access to global medical research through new collaboration

The agreement broadens the reach of nearly 50 Open Access titles, contributing globally to over 5,000 articles

October 2, 2025 — Wolters Kluwer Health announced a new collaboration with AME Publishing Company, an Open Access publisher specializing in medical journals and books, headquartered in Hong Kong, China.

JOMA is officially indexed by Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI)

On April 30, 2025, the editorial office of the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Anesthesia (JOMA) officially received confirmation that the journal has met all selection criteria for inclusion in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI). Articles published in JOMA from 2022 onward, beginning with Volume 1, will be included in this prestigious database.

In 2026, many authors make outstanding contributions to our journal. Their articles published with us have received very well feedback in the field and stimulate a lot of discussions and new insights among the peers.
